The paintings of this exhibition have all been made keeping in mind I don’t ever want to feel small again.
I used to feel that way, afraid to take up space, but now I use my paintings to take up that physical room and fill the gallery space with huge selfportraits.
For this show I created a zine and riso print both by the name 'I dreamt of expanding'.
Exhibition took place at Galerie Waterbolk in Utrecht during their Curated Week from 29 October - 3 November 2024.

Zine: I dreamt of expanding
Especially made for the exhibition: 'I Dreamt of Expanding' in 2024. I wanted to give you a glimpse of my sketchbook and process along with a short story about why I create.
21 pages with printed cover and orange calque paper wrap around cover.
RISO printed in teal and orange. Because of this print technique, all pages can vary a little.
Edition of 105, numbered.
Spray painted silver title on cover.
