Illustrating 60 portraits for Color Wow
Drawing 60 portrait illustrations in ink in the atelier for the NL launch of Color Wow!
Live painting for Harry Styles Pop-up Shop in Amsterdam!
I had so much fun sketching out this scene as there were giant tomatoes propped up in the middle of the store - perfect to make a live painting feel huge. I worked on a 60 x 80 cm linen canvas and painted with acrylics and oil pastels. I was there for 5-6 hours and the painting was delivered at the location to be exhibited right away.
Live illustrating guests at their destination wedding in Mallorca, Spain!
I flew over to Mallorca, Spain to live illustrate their +-30 guests (and drew a few doubles + a larger illustration of the couple). This was a lot of fun and Mallorca is so beautiful too.

Getting monetized on YouTube
Wait, what? YouTube? Monetization? Aren’t you an artist? Well yes, haha, but I love numbers and analytics too. Since I’m a small channel on YouTube and recently hit the milestone of monetization I thought it’d be fun to make a video and an accompanying blogpost about it. For those of you that are also interested in starting a YouTube channel and hitting that goal of monetization.
What to do when you’re procrastinating?
It happens every year, once or twice. Is what I’m doing good enough, is it worth anything? Most of the time it’s about my paintings, but this time sneaky little imposter syndrome pried itself into my videos and it made me doubt.. everything? I just came to a full stop. This is about how to get out of your own head and stop procrastinating.
No more starving artist stereotype
This is a personal review of the book The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. “Something had to change. My confidence and feeling of success was related to my income and how much people wanted me to work for them. I never started working for myself to only work for other people. That was never my goal.”
