Seven Years as a Self-Employed Artist
The last newsletter I sent you in July was about 'not giving up' and sowing seeds for later, keeping busy etc. etc. Well, those seeds? They're all coming up now! I've been flooded with opportunities and work which is amazing, but I've also been happy to tick off a few boxes and call projects finished. Let me show you a few things.
On Not Giving Up: Saving My Art Career & a Long Overdue Update

Walking South to North: Skye Trail
In april I went on a hiking trip to Isle of Skye, Scotland. Me and my partner hiked 130km of the Skye trail, walking from south to north. I liked drawing the same subjects a few times, making small and large alterations.

Live painting for Harry Styles Pop-up Shop in Amsterdam!
I had so much fun sketching out this scene as there were giant tomatoes propped up in the middle of the store - perfect to make a live painting feel huge. I worked on a 60 x 80 cm linen canvas and painted with acrylics and oil pastels. I was there for 5-6 hours and the painting was delivered at the location to be exhibited right away.
Live illustrating guests at their destination wedding in Mallorca, Spain!
I flew over to Mallorca, Spain to live illustrate their +-30 guests (and drew a few doubles + a larger illustration of the couple). This was a lot of fun and Mallorca is so beautiful too.
